A gift in your will – lasting connections, enriching lives. How your gift can make a difference.

Community Connexions is committed to providing community transport to those members of the community with mobility issues who need our help to maintain or regain their independence. Every single gift to Community Connexions is valuable & will make a genuine and significant difference to those we support now, and in years to come. We promise that your gift, however large or small, will be spent wisely to ensure we continue to reach those people most in need our help & support.

Valerie’s story

Valerie is 79 years old and was diagnosed with dementia 2 years ago. Valerie wrote to us thanking us for the wonderful difference we had made to the lives of her and her husband, who is in a local care home.

“Until registering with you I was struggling to cope with trips to visit my husband, to get basic shopping, health appointments or even occasional days out with my daughter who is my carer. My life is now transformed with travel to all of my regular destinations.”

Community Connexions helps people to do the important things in life. Your support will allow us to continue our vital work. Previous legacies have been used towards our vehicle replacement programme, training, and awareness raising campaigns.

How to help

We would always recommend that you speak to a qualified professional such as a solicitor when making or amending your will, to ensure that your gift will be used in accordance with your wishes. If you already have a will and would like to include a gift to Community Connexions in it, you can ask a qualified professional to add an amendment (a codicil).

You can leave a specific sum of money or an item such as jewellery or a piece of art. Or you can leave a share in, or all of, what’s left of the value of your estate after family & friends have been taken care of. The advantage of leaving a share (also known as a residuary gift) is that it remains the same over time, and you won’t need to change your will to keep up with inflation.
